There is no single method that suits everyone. Amanda draws on a range of therapeutic approaches and discusses the work with you in response to your experiences, history and goals.
Start with a conversation
The starting point is understanding what brings you to counselling and what you hope might change. You do not need to arrive with a diagnosis or a preferred therapeutic method.
Work at your pace
There is space to discuss your preferences, ask questions and agree on a focus. Amanda will explain her thinking as the work develops, rather than expecting you to choose from a list of techniques.
Keep the work collaborative
Counselling includes reflecting together on what is helping and adjusting the focus when needed. Your circumstances and response to the work matter.
Different settings for the conversation
Eco-therapy offers the option of walking and talking outdoors, with practical arrangements discussed beforehand.
